Plain Huts

My idea of a shepherd’s hut used to be an old corrugated tin shed on wheels that you would often see rusting away on the Wiltshire Downs. However, that all changed when I met Cath Caeser. Cath is a design and technology teacher and a shepherd hut visionary.

Cath’s company, Plain Huts, create huts with all of the welcome that a weary shepherd from a Thomas Hardy novel would recognise, but they also serve as an ’off-grid’ office, bedroom, relaxation space, or indeed a mini house with solar panels, compost toilet and the best micro kitchen I’ve ever seen. I have to say… they’re a bit special!

I’ve worked with Cath now for a couple of years, designing information to keep her customers up to date with all that’s happening in the hut world. As well as this, I’ve created literature to promote her ever inventive and increasing hut range – the ‘Bo Peep’ hut being one of my favourites.
